Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses Presence Pilotwebsites or software. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. Purpose

Presence Pilot helps legitimate businesses monitor reputation, respond to real customers, and keep listings accurate. This AUP exists so the Service is not used to manipulate reviews, spam, scrape, or abuse Google, Meta, or other platforms — which would also jeopardise our API access.

2. Allowed use

You may use the Service to:

• Monitor reviews and listings for businesses you own or are authorised to manage
• Draft or send truthful responses in your brand voice
• Send review invitations to people with whom you have a genuine customer relationship, using contact details you are allowed to use
• Keep name, address, phone, hours, and other listing fields accurate
• Invite colleagues in your organisation with appropriate roles

3. Reviews and ratings

You must not, and must not ask us or our AI features to:

• Post fake, incentivised-without-disclosure, or gated reviews that violate platform rules
• Review your own business or a competitor under a false identity
• Offer money, discounts, or other inducements in exchange for a specific star rating where Google, Meta, or law forbids it
• Selectively solicit only positive reviews in a way that misleads (for example hiding the option to leave public feedback)
• Harass reviewers, threaten legal action in bad faith, or doxx individuals
• Scrape or bulk-export reviews to build a competing dataset or to spam reviewers

Review-request campaigns must comply with PECR/GDPR for electronic marketing, include a way to opt out where required, and target only appropriate recipients.

4. Google and Meta platform rules

If you connect Google Business Profile, Facebook, or Instagram, you must also comply with:

• Google Business Profile policies and Google API Terms
• Meta Platform Terms, Community Standards, and Pages/Instagram terms
• Any other directory’s rules for listings you sync

You may only connect accounts, Pages, and locations you are authorised to administer. Sharing login credentials in violation of a platform’s rules is prohibited. If a platform suspends your listing, we are not obliged to restore it.

5. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• Break the law or infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
• Upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, or probe the Service except via a coordinated disclosure to privacy@presence-pilot.com
• Circumvent rate limits, scrape the Service, or reverse engineer except where the law allows
• Resell or white-label the Service without a written agency/partner agreement
• Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or unlawful marketing
• Impersonate Presence Pilot, Google, Meta, or any other person
• Submit content that is hateful, exploitative, or involves minors in a sexual context
• Use AI outputs as the sole basis for significant legal, credit, or employment decisions about individuals
• Interfere with other customers’ workspaces or data

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, remove content, suspend integrations, or terminate accounts. We may report illegal activity to platforms or authorities. Repeated or severe abuse (especially fake reviews or API misuse) may result in immediate termination without refund, as set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
